In the run up to the NATO summit in Strasbourg, Kehl and Baden-Baden, an anti-militarist demonstration was held in Freiburg in the evening of March 30th 2009.
The demonstration was confronted to an unprecedented large police deployment in Freiburg.
The authorities tried to inhibit public perception of the protest through bashing in the mainstream media and a „police kettel“ closely surrounding the protestors.
But 2.500 clowns, sambistas, anarchists and peace activists did not allow their party to be spoiled and made a loud and clear statement against war and militarisation.
These clip features a few participants and their political motivations which remained largely ignored by the mainstream media.
